This Saturday (31 March) is Earth Hour!
So be sure to cut the lights between 8:30 and 9:30pm together with millions of others around the world.
Not sure what to do with your time in the dark? Why not have a few friends round for a dinner by candlelight, or grab yourself a good book that you have been meaning to start reading but just never seemed to find time for while the lights were on.
My challenge to you, switch off EVERYTHING: the lights, the geyser, your cellphone and computer, the fridge and freezer, the microwave and the hi-fi. Just drop the Mains switch. Surely we can survive without electricity for a hour, right? With the possibility of rolling blackouts in the near future, this makes for good practice.
